ON CAMERA SCENE STUDY
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

June 17th - Aug 12th
6-9pm

Working on scenes with camera, students initially work at script analysis techniques, emotional prep, blocking, business, story analysis, and use of voice to help learn how to breakdown scenes on their own and achieve a higher level of believability in their acting.

Classes involve being assigned a scene partner and working together to learn and develop a scene over a period of 3 weeks with instructor focusing on different aspects of the scene in providing valuable feedback.

In the 4th week, the scene is shot for feedback about adjustments that need to be made when putting it on camera regarding to working with lighting, camera angles and close ups.
The process is the repeated for the remaining 4 classes with new scene and new partner.

Please Note: Students looking to take part in these classes must attend regularly and be well prepared for each class. Dedication and previous on camera training is required.

Hollywood is back in full force across Metro Vancouver this May, with the city once again transforming into a global filming hotspot. From apocalyptic blockbusters like The Last of Us to fan-favourite series such as Yellowjackets, Shōgun, and Fire Country, production crews and A-list casts are taking over streets, parks, campuses, and hidden corners of the Lower Mainland. Locals might just spot their favourite stars filming in real time as Vancouver continues to double for major international storylines.

With multiple high-profile movies and series rolling through at once including new seasons, remakes, and fresh original productions the energy across the city is intense, unpredictable, and very much alive. Whether you're commuting downtown or walking through neighbourhoods like UBC, Burnaby, or North Van, don’t be surprised if you stumble into a live set.

Hollywood North is officially in overdrive this spring.

I star in the film alongside Roy Dupuis, and we’ll be doing a filmmaker Q&A after the screening

If you’d be open to sharing it with the VADA community, I’d be so grateful."
