It’s always a pleasure bringing Dancehall culture and dance into different spaces. Especially when it’s the first time students get to experience not just the dance, but the true intention behind it all freedom, connection, energy, and having fun together.

During this cultural workshop at we shared movement, history, community, and pure enjoyment through Dancehall culture. One of the reasons we love working with programs like this is because the students are always so open and willing to learn. As upcoming dance artists, having the mindset to listen, grow, and understand culture beyond the movement is powerful to witness.

After a full week of our Cultural Dance Residency in Calgary, Ketch Di Vybz wrapped up our final cultural workshop led by our very own .

We’re truly grateful to have shared space and collaborated with Art of Mayele. Thank you for welcoming us and creating an environment where culture, community, and joy could come together so beautifully.
