Feedback on the weekend course on the Mystical Kalachakra in Vedic and Spiritual Astrology

Dear Dr. Arjun Pai,

Thank you so much for these last two days. Your teaching always carries that rare combination of depth, clarity, and genuine love for Vedic Astrology.

The Kalachakra workshop was truly illuminating and I'm deeply grateful for the space you gave me to share a little bit of my own investigations with the participants.

As promised, I'm attaching the image of Śrī Kṛṣṇa's lotus feet. It is accompanied by the description from Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura's Sārārtha-darśinī commentary on Srimad Bhagavatam 10.30.25, where he enumerates the auspicious marks on the soles of Kṛṣṇa's feet:

Right foot: six principal marks are the Disc (cakra), Flag (dhvaja), Lotus (padma), Thunderbolt (vajra), Elephant goad (aṅkuśa), and Barleycorn (yava). The Vaiṣṇava-toṣaṇī adds five more: a vertical line between the big and second toe, an umbrella below the disc, four svastikas in the four directions, four rose-apple symbols around them, and an octagon at the center. This makes eleven marks in total on the right foot alone.

I'm also attaching a few images showing the sacred geometry shared between the Vedic and Andean-Inca traditions, including our Misa, a three-layered textile altar that functions as a multidimensional diagram, revealing different sacred geometries when contemplated from different angles (2D, 3D, 4D and beyond).

You'll notice its resemblance to the Kalachakra diagrams we studied. We use it for oracle readings with stones representing the planets in both traditions, and what we explored in this workshop will allow me to bring much greater precision to this system. I look forward to sharing the results with you.

I'm still searching for the image of Kṛṣṇa surrounded by his Priya Narma Sakhās. I'll send it as soon as I find it.

For the last 150 years, modern education has largely followed an industrial model designed to produce administrators and workers.

It gives you a degree.

But a degree only tells us how long you studied, not what you can actually do.

Many spend 15–20 years in education and come out as "Bachelor of everything, Master of none."

I am a byproduct of this system. A PhD, a Masters, a Bachelorette.

Contrast this with something simple like karate.
You don’t get a new belt because time passed.

I graduated to 4th Grade/ Dan Brown Belt Karate when I was 14 years.

You earn it through demonstrated skill and discipline.
White belt.
Yellow belt.
Green belt.
Brown belt.
Black belt.

Each level proves real growth.

Imagine if education worked the same way.

Progress not by semesters, but by demonstrated capability —skill, emotional maturity, resilience, and the ability to solve real problems.

When societies reward titles over competence, mediocrity slowly rises — and leadership follows.
Civilizations do not decline because they lack intelligence.

They decline when they stop cultivating mastery.
The future will not belong to the most educated.
It will belong to those who master themselves.

Feedback on the Yogas and Karmas Weekend Course

Dear Dr Arjun,

I had the privilege of attending all three sessions of your webinar on Yogas and Karma in Vedic Astrology — the Preview session, Day 1, and Day 2 — and I wanted to take a moment to share my honest feedback, both in appreciation and in the spirit of constructive dialogue, so that future students may benefit even more.

Most teachers jump straight into listing yogas. You did something rare: you first laid out the architecture and syntax of Jyotish as a coherent system before touching a single yoga. The Cosmic Theater analogy — Ishwara as the Director, Nakshatras as the script, Rashis as the stage, Grahas as the actors, and Bhavas as the scenes — was a masterful framing device that gave every subsequent concept a home to live in. This single analogy unified what often feels like a scattered subject.

I particularly enjoyed the following points quite a lot

• Yoga-Dasa-Gochar triad was illustrated with good analgies viz seed/season/weather and others including a memorable analogy of potential and kinetic energy.
• Gochara and Grahachara
• Bhadra Yoga and Brahma Raksha warning
• Hamsa Yoga, where you distinguished mercury as a teacher while
• Jupiter as a Guru who culls knowledge from information
• Importance of Gupta Dan
• Kemdrum Yoga’s past life Karma involving “poverty consciousness”. I have not seen this kind of mention anywhere
• Sasa Yoga and Rabbit etymology: Saturn, the slowest planet, named after the fastest animal — and the connection to “slow and steady wins the race” — was a delightful pedagogical moment that reveals how deeply the Rishis encoded teachings in names.
• The Jyotirlinga–Rashi–Atmakaraka Framework
• Ashta Lakshmi framework through venus where you mapped venus combination with each planet
In Bill Clinton’s chart, you emphasised that Gaja Kesari gave undesirable results because of badly placed moon. That was a great learning for me.
• Dagdha rashi
• Enjoyed quantum entanglement analogy and Vedic Antenna

Below are some points, which may benefit from additional clarity or discussion.

• Dagdha rashi concept was illustrated with examples. We would love to have a table mapping tithi to burnt signs. Or if there is a formula or pattern to remember them, that would be very helpful.

• Mantra Siddhi Time Frame: The 40–48 day requirement for Mantra Siddhi — with the explanation that every cell in the body must be immersed and mitochondria activated — was compelling. It would be helpful to know which specific tradition or text this time frame derives from, and whether there are exceptions or variations acknowledged in different sampradayas.

• Keelaka (Mantra Lock) Concept. that every mantra has a “lock” involving an additional or removed syllable that only a Guru with Siddhi can unlock. This is a tantalizing teaching that naturally provokes the question: how does a student verify whether they have received the correct, unlocked form? A brief elaboration on the signs of proper Deeksha transmission versus incomplete transmission.

Dear Dr Arjun, across these three sessions, you did something that very few teachers in modern Jyotish accomplish: you connected the technical with the devotional, the mathematical with the mythological, and the karmic with the practical — all without losing rigour or falling into empty superstition.

I bow to the Guru Parampara through which this knowledge flows, and to you as its living channel. May your teaching continue to illuminate the path for countless students.

It is not merely a hymn.

A direct reminder of who you truly are.

Listen deeply, and you may no longer feel the need to run endlessly to astrologers, seekers, or outer answers.
What you seek is already hidden within your own consciousness.

This is a simple Maha Diksha in essence — profound, pure, and transformative.
A sacred secret rarely revealed with such simplicity.

Can astrology solve every problem?
Can others remove all karma for us?
No, not fully.

But awakening can change how karma binds us.
Grace can change how suffering is carried.
True knowledge can change the one who experiences it.

The real question is not only,
“Can our karmic problems be solved?”
The deeper question is,
“Can we awaken beyond the fear of them?”

In Shiva, through Shakti, lies the answer.
