May 5th is the National Day of Awareness and Mourning for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two-Spirit and Trans people, also known as Red Dress Day.
Established in 2010, every May 5th red dresses are displayed as a visual reminder of all the missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people.

The Community Engaged Documentation and Research space (CEDaR) is hiring for 2 positions.
CEDaR is an experimental new media space where faculty, students, and staff who engage in Indigenous and community-driven research can collaborate and innovate relational technologies. Their mission is to evolve community research by creating tools and techniques that support local contexts, politics, and protocols.
The CEDaR leads the design and implementation of programs and services to support emerging media needs in community-driven research. The position supports faculty, students and staff who design and develop emerging media tools and techniques including but not limited to virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), video games, geographic information systems (GIS), and digital curation. They are seeking candidates with experience working collaboratively with communities to facilitate and guide them in the use of new media and digital technologies.
