I heard this word at the end of a talk on public speaking, and I had to look it up because I might have heard it, or some version of it, but the context seemed unfamiliar to me.
It’s right at the end of this video:
https://youtu.be/Iil2jawDY-E?si=frqfrVMqKmY86CXF
Musical Style:
Geotic's music incorporates elements like field recordings, pianos, guitars, light distortion, and occasional vocals and beats, creating a warm, relaxed, and reflective sound
As someone who is surrounded by a constant din of activity (both outside and in my mind…) “Geotic” a word that stands out in a way to identify something that does not stand out.
(Poated by Ray Miller - come see us for the club relaunch happening now)

And the big question…
🆕 What should our new club name be?

Happy October PMI toastmasters and followers of this page.
I know we’ve been quiet on the page for quite some time, and after a particularly challenging couple years we are seeking a physical location to resume in-person meetings and to move out of the ZoomSpace.
Our previous meeting space in an office in central Burnaby will remain unavailable for the immediate future and we are hunting for a new meeting space to resume in-person meetings.
If anyone seeing this post is aware of, or has access to a meeting space in your office that would be appropriate we are very interested in hearing from you.
Ideal location for our meetings includes:
- chairs for seating (theatre style) for a group of 10 to 30 people. (Lunch rooms, meeting rooms, theatres)
-access to internet via wifi as we have members would would intend to attend meetings in a Hybrid format.
-Tables would be nice, but not required.
If available a presentation screen or TV in the space would also be ideal.
If anyone knows of a space in the Burnaby area that would be available Monday evenings please reach out, and let us know we would like to talk to you.
