Student of the Month – October
We are so proud to celebrate Dada as our Student of the Month for October!
Dada began piano lessons 9.5 years ago with Clinton, and he has absolutely flourished ever since! He has received First Class Honours on all of his RCM exams, including Levels 4 and 6, and is now preparing for his Level 8 exam. His dedication, focus, and love for music are truly inspiring. 🎶
These days, Dada practices for over an hour every day! He used to simply play through songs, but now he goes straight to the tricky parts and works on them until they’re just right — such amazing growth and maturity.
His mom shared that she used to have to encourage him to practice, but now Dada heads to the piano all on his own, excited to play and keep improving.
Dada, you are absolutely amazing — keep up the fantastic work! We’re all so proud of you! 🎹

Student of the Month - Isaac Liu
We’re so excited to recognize Isaac Liu as our September Student of the Month! 🎹
Isaac has shown incredible dedication this past summer, taking two lessons each week and putting in hours of practice, daily. His hard work has truly paid off— he achieved an outstanding result on his Grade 10 exam, and at just 13 years old, he’s already begun preparing for his ARCT Isaac, we are so proud of your commitment, discipline, and growth as a musician. Shantha Gunasekera - M.Mus., PhD

Born in Sri Lanka and now based in Vancouver, she brings over 20 years of teaching experience to our students. Beyond her impressive background, Shantha is known for her kindness, patience, and the way she truly cares for every student. 🎹
Her holistic and professional approach helps students connect with their body and recognize how important mindful movement is. Through her teaching, she inspires confidence, builds resilience, and fosters a genuine love of music. 💕
Shantha is a certified “Specialist in Advanced Piano & Theory Designations” by RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music) and serves as the Centre Representative for RCM Examinations in Richmond South.
