What a wonderful service
The Listening Line offers a free place for folx to call and talk about grief, in its many forms and all its uncomfortable edges.
We are offering a 4 day Listening Line training this October, to prepare folx to be a compassionate non-medical listener. The Listening Line will support anyone who wants to talk, vent, and share without receiving advice or suggestions. Having an accessible safe neutral place to talk is important.
Please consider taking our training and volunteering for listening shifts.
Cost: $100 to attend OR FREE for those wanting to volunteer on the Listening Line
Training Schedule: Saturday will be learning/teaching with some practice together, each Sunday will be fully practice together
Day 1: Saturday, October 21, 9am - 1pm PT: Listening Skills & Activation (4 hours)
Day 2: Sunday, October 22, 11am - 1pm PT: Community Call Practice (2 hours)
Day 3: Saturday, October 28, 9am - 1pm PT: Deepening Questions & Role Play (4 hours)
Day 4: Sunday, October 29, 11am - 1pm PT: Community Call Practice (2 hours)

HAPPY NEWS: CALIFORNIA LEGALIZES HUMAN COMPOSTING
The golden state becomes the fifth U.S. state to embrace the green burial method.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed a law that will make human composting available in California by 2027. In directing state officials to establish regulations for the process, known as natural organic reduction, California follows four other U.S. states that have legalized human composting: Washington, Colorado, Oregon and Vermont.
