Boxing teaches discipline, resilience, courage, and perseverance. It pushes us to become stronger—not only physically, but mentally.

But even the strongest people can face challenges outside the ring. Looking after your mental health is an important part of being a healthy athlete, coach, official, volunteer, and person.

That's why Boxing BC has created a Mental Health Support page with resources and organizations available to our community. No matter where you are in your journey, you don't have to face it alone.

Real strength is knowing when to reach out.

Visit the link in our bio to access the Mental Health Support resources.

Huge shoutout to our athletes who represented at the Cheo Aponte Tournament in Puerto Rico.

It was an incredible trip filled with invaluable experience against high level international competition. Our team went toe to toe with top talent from Puerto Rico, Colombia, Ecuador, the USA, and the Virgin Islands.

Here is how the team wrapped up the tournament:

24 total fights finished with a strong 14W and 10L record

2 Gold Medals brought home by Porter Hansen and Torren Edmonds

3 Silver Medals earned by Marcus Tallarico, Matvii Syrota, and Autumn Smiley.

Thank you to the coaches, support staff, and everyone behind the scenes who worked incredibly hard to make this high performance opportunity happen for our boxers.

No officials = no fights.

If we want more shows, better events, and a stronger boxing scene in BC, we need more people stepping up.

Join us at Raincity Boxing Gym (1–4 PM) for an Officials Clinic led by and get the chance to shadow a live event at Warrior Series.

We’ve already seen the impact these clinics are making — now we need more of the community involved.

👉 We are requesting gyms to send at least 2 members

Certified officials who work events receive transportation support and an honorarium.

Let’s build this together.
