Since 2013 Lord Kitchener Elementary School's Outdoor Classroom: Food Garden & Green Space has been In 2012, the school was seismically rebuilt.
Lord Kitchener Elementary sits at the busy intersection of King Edward and Blenheim in Vancouver. Thankfully, provincial funding provided a safe, new school structure, but unfortunately it left little for the outdoor space. The Pop Up Harvest Market was a success thanks to all who attended! Check out the bounty from today's harvest. Mr. Bruechert, Mr. Brown and Mr. Rosenbaum's classes helped harvest, wash and prepare much of the produce. Yay EarthBites!!

There will be a significant harvest today in the school garden! Please join with your children from 3-3:30pm. East of the school/basketball courts.
All your donations go back into supplying the garden with seedlings, seeds and other small supplies for garden shed. Thanks for your ongoing support to keep our school garden thriving!

Wildflower seed balls with the Kindergarten class this Tuesday. Half clay/half soil, roll into a ball, roll in wildflower seed mix, throw into garden and voila!!
