When children arrive at VCSC, we emphasize that the school belongs to all of us—a place where ideas are welcomed, and individuality is celebrated.
Over the past week, the children have been immersed in activities that support coordination, precision, and focus. At the same time, they’ve created beautiful work that helps personalize and enrich their learning environment.
The fairy garden, a beloved tradition for years, is taking on new life this year as the children begin to make it uniquely their own.

When children are exposed to books, it provides them with the opportunity to respond to the words they are taking in.
They can formulate their own opinions, which in turn strengthens their cognitive abilities and also gives them opportunities to share these opinions with their peers. This then allows children to experience the opinions of others and understand that we all have different perspectives when experiencing the same moments.
