“Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovators, Mentors and Leaders.”

So proud of Tyler Hasman for being a successful professional in the game space!

He was once a Teaching Assistant at DIGIVATIONS—curious, generous, and already thinking beyond the boundaries of what a “class” could be. Today, he’s contributing to major titles with the World of Warcraft Classic Team, including:
• Mists of Pandaria Classic
• Cataclysm Classic
• Season of Discovery, Classic Era, and Hardcore

What’s so inspiring is that Tyler’s journey didn’t start with a straight line into gaming—it started with imagination, storytelling, collaboration, and the courage to build worlds. That’s exactly what we cultivate at DIGIVATIONS.

At DIGIVATIONS, students don’t just learn skills—they become creators, leaders, and innovators across disciplines: game design, music, storytelling, science, and global problem-solving. Tyler is one of many who took that spark and carried it into a meaningful, creative career.

If you have a young person who dreams of building worlds—whether through music, code, story, or science—this is where that journey can begin.

✨ Join us this summer and be part of a community where imagination meets real-world impact.

I am pleased to announce the release of a retrospective CD of my compositions, now available on Spotify:

https://lnkd.in/g5ZmJARc

This recording brings together works spanning an important decade of my creative output, including:

• Four vignettes from a sonic love poem for my husband Steve Berman for two flutes and piano, commissioned and premiered by ZAWA!
• Ashes to Ashes, a concert version of an interactive memorial originally created in response to September 11
• Two works incorporating the recorded voices of my children as toddlers at both ends of the decade.

The album also includes a concert version derived from a large-scale interactive installation exploring memory and loss. In the original environment, sculptural objects and water features activated layered narratives about a family coping with a father’s Alzheimer’s disease, with memory retrieval shaped by participants’ movement through the space. This work was created in collaboration with Steve Berman, sculptor Bill McVicar, and UCLA REMAP.

I work as a composer and educator at the intersection of music, narrative, and learning, and I co-design interdisciplinary educational programs at Cornell University with Steve Berman and our son Jacob. My work is grounded in the belief that creativity is not a luxury, but a form of civic infrastructure—essential to meaning-making, collaboration, and cultural memory.

I am grateful to the performers (Chautauqua Symphony, Jill Felber, Claudia Anderson, Betty Oberacker, Jacob and Clara Berman), collaborators (Jeff Burke, Carolina Cruz-Niera, Dawn Denham, Larry Tuch, Valerie Williams) and institutions (UCSB, JoAnn Kuchera-Morin, Curtis Roads, Doug Scott, UCLA REMAP, ISU VRAC, and UBC) who have contributed to this body of work. Most of all, the CD is dedicated to my life partner, Steven Berman, who inspired most of this work and was the primary collaborator for all of it, including the making of the CD.

I welcome thoughtful engagement from those interested in music, education, memory, and interdisciplinary practice.

With encouragement from Michael Glenn Williams and Steve, we plan to make an arrangement of Ashes to Ashes for high school and college orchestra for the 25th anniversary memorial celebration, especially powerful since none of the students lived through the events of 9/11.

Introduction

Hello! I'm Jacob, a Cornell student and an NASA educational nonprofit startup co-founder (along with my parents). A little bit about myself:

• I am a Research Assistant at the K. Lisa Yang Center for Conservation Bioacoustics using cutting edge technologies to understand how wildfire smoke in Borenea forests affect threatened primates behavior.

• Co-Founded DIGIVATIONS XGENS, a 501(c)(3) education non-profit that participates in Model United Nations in New York City, Geneva, Switzerland, Yale and Harvard Universities.

• Currently building a Cornell organization rooted in religious tradition that promotes life long learning and comradeship.

——

In summer, DIGIVATIONS at Cornell mentors middle and high school students in creating Hands-on projects which empower youth to solve quests, create future unicorn prototypes & art, write short stories, plays, musical & theatrical performances based around the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals and their 169 targets. This is achieved through visits to numerous labs and research centers, intimate lectures from Nobel laureates, visiting scientists and artists. This is for students who want to stand out to T20 universities.

——

If you're interested in helping your student develop a standout Model UN portfolio, especially Yale Model United Nations, comment “MUN” below and I’ll send you details for registration.

If you are interested in joining ten select students for a week to four week individual program at DIGIVATIONS Cornell University, comment “Cornell” below.

——

NOTE: Spots are first come first serve. We only have room for ten students.
