Don't get stuck in the loop of over-criticizing you work. Set a limit of no more than 3 takes and build confidence with self tapes. Escape the self tape trap!

A solid self tape setup has become a necessity! So here are a few things that are a must have for every audition. A solid blue, white or grey background. Good lighting, could be a ring light, make sure you aren't casting shadows behind you! Really clear audio is very important, so a good quality microphone is highly recommended. And a good camera is key. A phone camera will do, but make sure the image is clear, in focus, and has a good resolution. Good luck on all your auditions!
