1952 Legend’s Card Sells For $2 Million🤪
That’s right…
Yankees Legend Mickey Mantle⚾️ 1952 Topps card sold for $2 Million at an auction recently.
Total amount was actually $2,029,500.00 but who’s counting the small stuff right?
A similar card with a higher grade (condition) went for $5.2 million at an auction in January. 😲
Apparently, trading cards have seen a massive spike in value in recent year as collectors are taking advantage of the long-term investment opportunity as an alternative to the stock market.📉
I found myself looking at the picture of this card and thinking about how delicate that small piece of paper is that represents millions of dollars.
How rich would you have to be to spend that amount of money on a baseball card?
I guess it’s true that it’s all about what the market value is of an object.
Let me ask you something.
How much value do you put on your future? 🤔
Wouldn’t it be amazing to be able to contemplate the decision of raising your little paddle and bidding on something like that?

I don’t know who they were, but they could be people who have a ton of money…
…and no real time freedom.
Maybe they own a huge corporation and they always have to be tied to their phone.📱
Perhaps they have so many employees that a vacation still consists of checking in everyday to see how things are running.
Maybe they run an online business like drop shipping, ecommerce, or an agency.
Fulfillment may take up so much time that they don’t get to truly enjoy the money they are making.
They never get to truly unplug. 🏖
Again, I don’t know about those specific people that bought those cards worth millions.
I do know that there are a lot of people out there searching for that business model that equates to freedom.
Passive income; money being made while you are sleeping, hiking, surfing, skydiving, travelling the world, etc.🏄♀️🪂🏕
