Please join us for Brainstorming Session on understanding Post-Docs' needs, interests and concerns. After understanding what the actual issues are, it would be great to discuss the solutions and initiatives which can be implemented for improving Post-docs' academic/career success, social and mental wellness.

January 2021 Workshop: What is R?
You asked, and we’re happy to present our most introductory R workshop yet. We’ll be going over the building blocks of R Programming and the language (syntax) in which R coding works. This workshop is for all who’ve been wanting to start learning R but don’t where to start, or have found that they want to better their basics of this programming language.

As part of GrasPods Welcome Week 2021, we’re back with Part 2 of a step-by-step RNA-seq data analysis workshop, in association with the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute’s Trainee Omics Group (TOG, https://bcchr.ca/tog).
TOG is the resident graduate trainee-led data bioinformatics and data analysis support group at BCCHR, offering workshops, tutorials, and seminars in biomedical statistical analyses and methodologies.
Part 2 - RNA-seq: From Differential Expression and Beyond

In Part 2 of this 2-part RNA-seq Analysis Workshop, we will use the processed expression counts that we generated in Part 1, and run through how to conduct principle component analysis, differential expression with linear modelling, as well as introduce tools for gene and pathway analysis.
