Patient swordfighters! Plans for this summer's CNAT have come together finally. It will be held on beautiful Newcastle Island, which sits in Nanaimo Harbour. Along with the usual delights, we will have a special guest instructor all the way from Australia: Paul Wagner, VP of the Stoccata School of Defense. Cascadia North Accolade Tournament 2012 - Box. Wrestle. Fence. Right, part one of my recollections of Cascadia North. First up will be my raw notes, taken at various points in the weekend and only edited for spelling and grammar. Read at your own risk!

BUS POOL INFORMATION

Greetings, Duelists! There will be two BUS POOL groups mustering at Duello in time for water taxis #1 and #2. Please see below for information!

GOING UP on FRIDAY, August 17th:

BUS POOL #1 will be mustering at Academie Duello at 3:15 sharp. They will be taking the #211 leaving at 3:24 p.m. which will arrive at the Deep Cove docks at 4:14 p.m. This bus pool is for anyone taking the water taxi loading at 4:30 p.m. and departing at 5:00 p.m.

BUS POOL #2 will be mustering at Academie Duello at 4:45 sharp. They will be taking the #211 leaving at 5:10 p.m. which will arrive at the Deep Cove docks at 5:52 p.m. This bus pool is for anyone taking the water taxi loading at 6:00 p.m. and departing at 6:30 p.m.

COMING BACK on SUNDAY, August 19th:

BUS POOL #1 will be taking the #212 leaving at 5:57 p.m., with a transfer over to the #210 at Phibbs exchange, which will get the group back to Duello by 6:37 p.m. on Sunday, Aug 19th. (This will be the group from Ferry #1.)

BUS POOL #2 will be taking the #212 leaving at 7:28 p.m., with a transfer over to the #210 at Phibbs exchange, which will get a group back to Duello by 8:07 p.m. on Sunday, Aug 19th. (This will be the group from Ferry #2.)

A note regarding BAGS:

If you would like us to transport your bags and gear up for you, please drop them off at Academie Duello between Thursday August 16th at 5:00pm and Friday August 17th at 1:00 p.m. Following CNAT, bags will need to be picked up by Friday Aug 24th. Passengers are limited to TWO bags and ONE carry-on. We ask that you label your bags clearly with your name and that there be NO LOOSE GEAR. (Everything should be wrapped up tightly!)

We have two drivers who have offered rides up to Deep Cove (Anton Pitts and Susanne Parker.) Please look below for the post regarding car pooling if you are interested on having a ride up to North Van and back!

Hey there, everyone! I've had a few requests from people regarding car pooling to the docks at Deep Cove in time for Ferry #1 (which loads on Friday, August 17th at 4:30 p.m.) and Ferry #2 (which loads on Friday, August 17th at 6:00 p.m.)

Please post below to let other attendees know if you are have a vehicle with unclaimed passenger seats or if you are a passenger looking for a vehicle!
