This past December, the Hamber participated in Vancouver District Students' Council (VDSC)'s annual CANley Cup: District-Wide Canned Food Drive Competition. All eighteen public high schools within the Vancouver School Board were invited to join the fundraiser in helping families and the less fortunate during the holiday season. Collectively as a district, the cans and money raised was donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

Hamber have managed to win the title of second place in this competition and raise around 14 cans per person. However, at the end of the day, it's all about giving back to our local community. Altogether, all 18 schools in VSB has been able to raise 146,286.11 cans! This definitely is going to help so many families and children get through this winter.
