Sharing some big news for BC families. The Province just put $20 million behind Willow House, a new 75-suite home beside BC Children’s Hospital built by Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon for families who need to stay long-term.

The current House is full every night and families are still being turned away. Willow House doubles that capacity. Doors open early 2029.

I’ve been on the Capital Campaign Cabinet since 2025 and got to be in the room when this came together.

Congratulations to Richard Pass and the whole team at Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon, and thank you to the Province for showing up for these families.

Some happy news to share: I’ve been named a Finalist for Best Female CEO of the Year in the 23rd annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business.

More than 1,500 nominations came in from 56 nations this year. I’ve been reading through the list of finalists and keep finding women whose work I want to learn more about.

I’ve spent a lot of years making the case that kindness and strong results belong together. Seeing that recognized on a global stage means a great deal to me, and it belongs just as much to the Nurse Next Door team who lead this way every day. 💗

Results are announced in New York on November 16. In the meantime, I’d love to know: who is a woman in business you think deserves more recognition?

Honoured to be named a 2026 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner by WXN Media. 💗

I keep coming back to the word, powerful.

It’s not something you earn on your own, and it’s never really about standing at the front. My power comes from the people around me.

The mentors who believed in me before I believed in myself. The colleagues who challenged my thinking and helped me expand. And the team at Nurse Next Door | Home Care Services, who show me every single day what it looks like to lead with heart.

This one means a lot because it reflects all of them, not just me.

To the incredible women being recognized alongside me: I’m inspired by what you’re building across this country, and I’m proud to stand with you.

25 years ago, Nurse Next Door | Home Care Services started with two people who couldn’t get help for the people they loved.

Two cell phones, a Starbucks as a head office, and a belief that there was a better way.

Today we’re thousands of caregivers and team members across four countries, still here for the same reason: making lives better.

If I’m always the one with the answer, I’m not developing people. I’m creating dependence.

Micromanaging can take away the very thing people need in order to grow: the chance to think, make decisions and learn for themselves.

Bold Kind leadership is about giving people the what and why, not the how.

There’s less formality, and people are more likely to say what they actually think.

I’m so excited to share that I’ve been recognized as one of the most influential business leaders in the 2026 Business in Vancouver BC500 list!

The list profiles leaders across the province who have made remarkable professional contributions, shown a strong commitment to their communities, and who exemplify the modern values of leadership.

It means a lot to be recognized alongside so many exceptional people who are building, creating and pushing business forward here in this province.

For the first time in years, women aren’t just stalling in leadership. We’re moving backwards.

I’ve been a CEO for over a decade, and I want to be clear about what this is not. It is not a talent problem nor is it an ambition problem.

Part of the issue is the glass cliff.

Women are more likely to be appointed to leadership roles when an organization is already struggling, then held responsible for conditions they inherited.

We need to challenge the systems that keep elevating the same leadership profiles and create the conditions for women to lead with real authority, support and autonomy.

To me, that is Bold Kindness in leadership.
