More from the drop yesterday on the website. We have limited quantities, get ‘em while they’re still hot from the kiln!

Studio Member Hannah is currently pushing her skills and learning to throw BIG. She’s developing skills creating volume and playing with making lidded forms. I think she’s kilning it. 🤣

The beginning stages of handles...

I pull each handle by hand from a little lump of clay and then let them harden overnight. I attach them to the mug one or two days later when the mugs are leather hard and trimmed. Tip: always make sure your handle is slighter more moist than your cup to avoid cracking. Also avoid using too much liquid; I use a scrapey tool and a brush with some vinegar to create a slip from my scoring.

I find this process to the be least fussy, and doesn't warp the rim of the mug. The less I touch each item I make, the more time I get to spend doing other things I love- like making banana chocolate walnut muffins for my team.

I think we all would prefer me to have more time for baked goods 🤣

We had a laughing fit in the studio while I was attempting to photograph these Clear Serving Platters. Mel's “attempts” at shadow puppets.

Return of the saucy ornaments. Tip: sneak it onto some else’s tree and wait for the laughter (or make a run for it.) 🤣 Available on the site, or for pick up this Sunday 12-4 at our Holiday Open House!

What do you think? Clear or green?

Plain or gold?

Clear gold? Green gold?

A part of our new weekly ritual is flower! Bringing something beautiful into our space to inspire us. We take from the earth to make our vessels, and bring the earth back to them when we fill them with flowers or sustenance. Nourishing our minds or our body. Sometimes I'm truly in awe of all the different types of flowers- many I've never seen before. Nature is so complex, so beautiful. After all it created all of us 🤍🤍🤍

Making pots for y'all! I'm developing a new mug, inspired by one of my loves! Can you guess what it might be? Hint: it's not snacks.
