Tuesday Nighters
This is an eating group with a running problem. Basically we do a lot of lunges, try to run on our mid-foot and over indulging ourselves with delicious food. "
Tuesday Night Food and Run Club aka” Torture Tuesdays” or “Tuesday Nighters” is an informal food and running group focusing on strength training, natural running form and eating. Food tends to be a bigger priority than training sometimes. Since our groups inception, we have not only welcome runners of varying backgrounds, but also other athletes such as dragon boaters, basketball players and peop
Hey Tuesday Nighters - our Ragnar team is down a runner. Anyone available July 17-18 to spend 25-30 hours in 2 vans with 11 of your new best friends running 3 legs, total distance around 25 km?
Feel like a trail run? Sunday, 2'ish hours starting from end of the line cafe at 8:30, feel free to just show up. Look for Suzanne and Nicole
Ragnar-second call. We have a team registered and 5 team members. We need 7 more. July 17-18, cost will be $150 plus food and gas. Anyone interested?
NO Practice on the track today! Sorry for the last minute notice, but there will be a high school track meet at Point Grey today and so the track will be occupied. But just because we don't have access to a track doesn't mean there's no workout. Hill loops x5 =D.
A reminder that tonight is the last body conditioning class at Kensington Community Centre! These workouts are amazing full-body strength workouts for runners, with an emphasis on core. The workout begins at 6:15pm, and the cost is the cost of a drop-in at the gym (around $5 or $6).
Next week our Monday night body conditioning will resume with Monika at Point Grey track.
Spring is in the air and it’s time for us to get pumped up!
Over the next few weeks we will focusing on:
- Explosive strength training
- Short intervals at high intensity
- Plyometrics
- And…. Making sure we are ready for spring time races
Be ready to get your heart rate racing and the feeling of your muscles burning, because it’s time to work.

Strength training TNer style.
It might be early in the week but it's never too early to plan a Saturday trail run :)
Meet at End of the Line at 8:30 for some fun on Fromme, 3-4 hours of up and down the mountain bike trails, lots of elevation, and an added bonus of finishing at Grouse is you want to keep Nicole company for the last part of one of her longest training runs. Let us know you're coming.
