Many high-achieving people quietly carry the fear of being “found out.” If you’ve ever thought, “Everyone knows what they’re doing except me,” you’re not alone.
Leen Hamdi's latest blog explores imposter syndrome and what it can look like in real life, including the pressure to overwork, the urge to procrastinate, and the habit of dismissing accomplishments even when there's evidence you've earned them.
The shift isn’t about “getting rid” of these feelings overnight. It’s about working with them through self-acceptance, grounding strategies, and reconnecting with your “sparkling moments.”

Mental Health Week (May 4 to 10) is a reminder that connection matters. In a profession that can be high-pressure and isolating, supporting lawyers’ mental health is not optional, it is essential. When we check in with one another, make space for honest conversations, and reduce stigma, we strengthen our workplaces, our families, and our communities.
This week, LAPBC encourages you to come together in small, meaningful ways:
• Reach out to a colleague you have not spoken to in a while
• Take a real break (and protect it)
• Ask, “How are you, really?” and listen
Because support and connection strengthen mental health, and none of us has to carry it alone.
