Things happen in life!

For the most part we think we are in control of the outcome. We have plans and just like dominos they all fall into place.

Yet sometimes plans are made and things go in a completely different direction.

The meaning we give to the unplanned thing is what determines if we have a good rest of the day or a bad day.

We all have 1440 minutes in a day. Think of it like a bank account. If you lost 60 minutes aka 60 dollars would u spend another 240 minutes aka dollars to retrieve or dwell on the initial 60?

Common sense says no…

Learn the lesson, change the narrative, move forward with a constructive mindset rather than a why does the wind always blow spit my way mindset.

Scenarios are endless but here is the good news… chaos does not necessarily have to be negative.

Chaos may be a perfect way of clearing the path or direction you are heading and help you recalibrate.

Chaos may cause you to remain steadfast in the course you have chartered as a show of how much you believe in the goal at hand.

You my friend are storyteller. Tell yourself a horror story, tell yourself an inspiring everything is possible story. The choice is always up to you.

Do NOT take your life for granted. If you are unhappy do something about it. Whether work, relationship, friends… fix it or f it but don’t sit on the fence thinking you have unlimited time on this planet. You may know exactly how much money you have but none of us know how much time we have left. Remind yourself memento mori…. Do not wait until that phone call, that diagnosis etc etc to realize how precious you are, your life is and appreciate all the people that you value. on : Congratulations! We’ve made it to a new calendar year! Let’s try something new! As opposed to New Year’s resolutions of all the things you claim we will do, let’s try something different. New Years Realizations! Ownership of who we really are! Embracing our strengths and weaknesses! Stop trying to be a ‘good girl’ or a ‘bad boy’ to impress someone or a group of people. Stop trying to fit in in order to be liked! Take off false masks and allow your true light to shine through so you can attract the people who are genuinely looking for that light and will appreciate you. Stop watering yourself down and playing small to fit in with a group of people you have no business being loyal too. Dare to be loved 100% unconditionally as opposed to bite size pieces of crumbs tossed to you here and there. Have these realizations… and then go tackle your goals and dreams… Get it! Got it! Good!…..😏

on : Life is not just about consumption. It is about creation. Have fun with creativity. Dance, sing, sew, design a house or a car. Make a movie, create a character, play an instrument, design jewelry, paint, write, do it all. Do not worry about what others will say. It’s your one life, express yourself. Will some people hate it? Probably! But many will love it. But both love or hate scenarios should have nothing to do with your creation and how it makes you feel. Do it from the heart, do it because it makes you laugh, smile, reflect etc. Do it because you dare! Do it because you are appreciative of all the generations that came before you that have now afforded you this time and space to have the opportunity of creativity. We are all sitting on the shoulders of giants… let’s show our ancestors the true meaning of appreciation by truly living!….

on : Paranoia.. the official meaning is unjustified suspicion and mistrust. It’s unwarranted belief when things are going good when is the other shoe going to drop. When is this good streak going to end. In fact many cultures when they are asked how are you doing they don’t say great or fantastic they just ok. It’s not because they are being humble it’s due to the fact that they don’t want to be jinxed. If they say I’m great an evil energy will fix that! 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Imagine the opposite PRONOIA… the belief that everything will work out. Yes this is a neologism but what a great word. Imagine embracing all of it. The good bad and ugly. Everything happens for a reason and for my greatest good. Life is not fear based. It is a gift to exist and with that comes experiences of all kinds to which we give meaning to.

What life would you choose for yourself? One filled with Paranoia or Pronoia?

on : First impressions are fantastic. How exciting it is to meet someone new and try to figure out who they are or could possibly be. When we meet someone new within the first 5-7 seconds we try to determine if they are a friend or foe. If we decide there is no threat we start projecting who we think they are. It’s fun to see what we think the person may be like vs what they reveal about themselves as we get to know them over months. I like writing out what I think a person may be like when I first meet them especially if I think our paths will cross in business and or social events. I do this because I want to keep my biases in check, both positive and negative. Keep in mind whatever you project is a reflection of you, your bs (belief system) and your life experiences. It usually has nothing to do with the other person. Generally speaking if you are a positive person you will look beyond obvious red flags. If you are a negative person you will be suspicious of someone’s good nature and think what’s the catch. Isn’t it fun to find out if your suspicions were on point or if you were waaayyyyyy off the mark? 🤣😂….Something to consider!….Get it! Got it! Good!…..😏
