One in every 122 human beings is a refugee and the figures are rising daily. On top of that 80 percent of refugees are being hosted by developing countries and there is a rise of anti-refugee sentiment in many industrialised nations.
In spite of this worldwide crisis, for many Christians the issue of internationally displaced peoples has been a geographically, emotionally, theologically and practically distant subject. But times are changing. Once a refugee himself, Jesus models what it means to draw alongside the outsider and calls his followers to do the same.
Drawing on Dr Kandiah's experience working with refugees, political advocacy, working in collaboration with the UK Home Office and regular appearances in national and local media this course will bring cutting edge experience as well as rich theological reflection.
Krish Kandiah is President of London School of Theology and founder and director of Home for Good. He is author of many books, including Home for Good: Making a Difference for Vulnerable Children, Dysciples, and Just Politics.
You can purchase Dr Kandiah’s full lecture on the Regent Audio website.

“Perhaps no letter in the Pauline corpus takes the reader to such mountain heights of adoration and to such level fields of practicality as the six short chapters of Ephesians do”. (Cohick, Ephesians, 1)
In the summer of 2015, Regent College had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Lynn Cohick to teach on Ephesians, more specifically, the Unfathomable Grace in Ephesians. In this letter, Paul draws out the actions of God in the past to set his Kingdom and help his Church live out their salvation in the present and with a vision for the future. Moreover, Paul reveals the depth and extent of the reach of God’s salvation: to the entire creation.
Order your copy today! Dr. Cohick’s commentary on Ephesians is also available at the Regent Bookstore.

James Innell Packer, 1926-2020
Our dear friend, Jim, finished strong and went to be with his Lord today at 12:15 pm. He died right across the street from Regent College in the UBC Hospital.
We wish to share four special talks that he gave on different occasions. “Knowing God” was a talk that Jim gave for an Open House at the College in 1995. “Breakfast With Bunyan” is a dialogue that Jim had with Maxine Hancock in 2004 on the topic of Jim’s favourite book and author while “CS Lewis, The Man from Narnia” was an address given at an event hosted Pacific Theatre. Finally, “Finishing Well” is a video recording of a chapel talk that Jim gave on the occasion of his 80th birthday in 2006.
Help us spread Jim’s legacy far and wide by sending on these complementary recordings.

In 2019 N. T. Wright made his first appearance at Regent College in 20 years. It was highly anticipated with the class limit of 160 students reached in a matter of hours after the opening bell for registration. By June we had a waiting list of 650 students, a full month before the class. The list was cut off and although a larger lecture hall was found, most were turned away. When you purchase a download audio at full price, this becomes a form of GoFundMe for Regent Bookstore and is lifeblood. Plus the purchaser gets to listen in to a great course! Thank-you for your support, Bill
