UBC Geography Students' Association The Geography Students’ Association (GSA) is one of the most active student associations on campus

Events range from lunches with the Department Head and professors to learn more about their work to guest presentations with professionals working in sustainability to our infamous bzzr gardens & trivia nights. We also publish the undergraduate journal Trail Six, run the GeoGarden, coordinate our Bad Latitude sports team, and celebrate the end of the year with a bang (the Geogala).

We will be hosting a geography-themed games night in Room 229 of the Geography building on October 22nd from 5:00 - 7:30 PM!
•
Games will include Jeopardy!, Kahoot, as well as non geography related board games and cards. Hope to see you there!
•
Note: this event is NOT limited to GSA members, although future events will be.

Why volunteer with the Geogarden? 🧑‍🌾
• Take home fresh produce from our harvests!
• Meet other like-minded gardeners
• Access to garden space if you don’t have a personal garden (please feel free to inquire about planting your own crops here)
• Spend time outdoors!

Who can Volunteer? 👤
Anyone! No experience is required, and tools are provided.
We are currently looking for on-call volunteers with availability for Summer 2026, with a time commitment of 30 minutes - 2 hours a week.

Garden maintenance includes: 🪴
• Weeding
• Making sure plants are getting enough water from irrigation system
• Transplanting
• Seed sowing
• Harvesting
• Maintaining compost
• Pruning
• Fertilizing
