Who are we?

The Social Health Lab is directed by Dr. Frances Chen, an Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia. We investigate how people establish, negotiate, and sustain social relationships. Why do some first-year students have more difficulty making friends? Can your cell phone use predict your health and social connections? These are some of the questions our lab is working to answer!
