🇨🇦 HALF OF TEAM CANADA 2026/2027 LEARN AT FDT. 🇨🇦

We are incredibly proud to announce that FIVE FDT students have earned spots on Team Canada Debate, joining returning Team Canada member Eric Wang.

That means 6 of the 12 students selected to represent Canada internationally are current FDT students.

This achievement is the result of years of hard work, determination, coaching, and countless hours spent developing the skills that make great debaters: critical thinking, persuasive speaking, teamwork, and resilience.

To our Team Canada students: congratulations! 🎉 You have earned this opportunity through your dedication and commitment to excellence.

To our coaches, families, and students: thank you for helping build a community where young people can challenge themselves, grow in confidence, and achieve extraordinary results.

Today, we celebrate six students. Tomorrow, we continue helping the next generation reach even greater heights.

This past Saturday, our very own Mingyang took 2nd place at the Optimists District Oratorical Contest, earning a $2000 scholarship 🥈📚! She competed against students from Washington, Idaho and British Columbia. Her dedication truly paid off - congratulations!

We’re so excited to share these results! From Thorin as Senior Champion Team, Finley and Sarah as the Junior Champion Team and Ankeeth as Junior Beginner Champion Speaker, we couldn’t be prouder! Congratulations to everyone who competed and let’s wish the 8 students advancing to Nationals good luck!
