I Lyle Sparrow am honoured that Mary Point asked me to carve this sea going canoe , this has never been done for over one hundred years . This canoe is now on display at Vancouver International Airport . I would have never taken on this job without my nephew master carver Jodie Sparrow , Jodie also has a red seal in carpentry . I was also happy to have Dickie Louis a master carver in racing canoes . Th sank you to the many apprentices who helped us on the daily bases . We carved paddles for the canoe and for gifted for the dignitaries . My hands are up to everyone that worked with us , for I know we are all proud to be Musqueam.
