I'm excited that my independently published poetic prose prelude/first chapter of my historical novel, "The Oracle of Delphi: That Which is Hidden" (by Elyse DeBarre, my penname), has been admitted to the online shelves of the Vancouver Public Library in Canada, and I hope the full novel will soon be found there as well. This is book 1 of a historical espionage mystery series. I first wrote the independent poetic prose short story when I was 17 in first year university for a class in which we were to write a narrative with a twist, and my professor praised it saying he'd been unable to guess the truth until the last line.
When I was going over the story last year to publish it, the idea came to my mind to write a novel continuing the events of the narrative. This soon transformed into my quadrilogy, Priests and Magi. I'm a classical archaeologist, and at that time I was beginning the first year of my first degree in classical archaeology, and had just been living in Greece and had explored ancient Delphi including the area under the Temple of Apollo seldom discovered by visitors: one area where the oracle received her politically influential visions. https://libbyapp.com/search/vpl/search/query-Elizabeth%20Legge/page-1/10442486

This series beginning with "The Tower of Malatha: A Novel of Ancient Rome" taking place during the Julio-Claudian era, is a fact based biography in novel form of a historical person. Most novel characters are historical. Most events mentioned are either historical, based on the author's peer reviewed scholarly theories, or are reasonable under the historical circumstances. This novel involved the research of several hundred ancient and scholarly sources. Based on this research, the author has published several peer reviewed scholarly books and articles and given conference talks. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0DH3ML73B?ref_=dbs_m_mng_wam_calw_tkin_0&storeType=ebooks&fbclid=IwY2xjawFfr99leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHcebtLjN6EhRznbw4KkuTFBcpj8_gkg97L-KRkSZO1ZgdRHzLRVNIvP-YA_aem_G2542qTZzBm4mkXkuHxKqg

The Trial of Jesus at the Jerusalem Praetorium: New Archaeological Evidence
Some scholars in recent years have dismissed the Trial of Jesus story in the Gospels as a literary creation devoid of historical content. This paper cautiously argues against taking such a negative approach. The basis for this conclusion is a new
