He has had the opportunity to collaborate with clients, agencies, and studios across Canada and the United States, including Carbone Smolan Agency, Base Design, Polyester Studio, Tendril, Oddfellows, Ranger & Fox, School of Motion, Microsoft, Samsung, Apple, and Shopify. Yaniv also started Animation for a Cause, a non-profit that promotes social causes through motion graphics, and Motion-Quotes, an ongoing personal project where he shares thoughts and ideas from people who had a genuine impact on his life.

Freelance 2D/3D character animator Rachel Reid invites you to join her on Thursday, July 30, as she discusses her journey from student to professional in animation, the role animation plays in a motion designer’s career and what designers can learn from animators, and understanding the pipeline for motion design and 2D animation.

Rachel Reid worked as an animator/designer at Gunner, an animation studio, for five years. She graduated from the College for Creative Studies studying traditional and 3D animation. She has also been a student at Animation Mentor and iAnimate. She loves participating in projects that incite storytelling and the imagination.

VFS Digital Design Talks featuring Rachel Reid Join VFS’s online talk to find out how animation has become a motion designer’s specialty

Motion designer and illustrator Kirstin Smith invites you to join her on Thursday, July 16, as she discusses her goal to create work with a socially conscious message and her ongoing journey to find clients that share this goal. She will also detail the process of creating an animation for the UK-based charity APPEAL.

Kirstin Smith is a motion designer and illustrator based in London, UK, where she was first hired by creative agency Nice and Serious as a motion designer. Kirstin has dedicated her career to what she is most passionate about: creating work for social impact. She is driven by the belief that visual storytelling is a powerful tool that can be used to generate positive change. Over the years, Kirstin has been striving to do just that while working with organizations including British Red Cross, CNN, Do The Green Thing, Nesta, Historic England, and World Wildlife Fund.
