THE OUD IS NOT AN INSTRUMENT. IT IS A WAY.
You don’t come to the Oud to collect techniques.
You come to be reshaped by sound.
In much of modern music education, you are taught to control the instrument—
to execute, to perfect, to reproduce.
But this tradition—rooted in the spirit of masters like Urmavi and Maraghi—asks something else of you:
Not control.
But listening.
Not performance.
But presence.
