Our undergraduate journal LOGOS is looking for student editors to be part of Issue 8!

There are many opportunities to be involved, and it's a great addition to add to you undergraduate experience (as well as your CV).

All areas and years of AMNE specialties are welcome (Classics, Middle Eastern Studies, Egyptology, Archaeology, and Religious Studies).

Any current UBC undergraduate can submit a research paper to Logos. Authors do not need to major or minor in CNERS, and papers do not have to be written for CNERS classes, provided that their content is relevant. The deadline for all Submissions is March 13th at 11:59pm. Submissions should be sent to [email protected].

- Each paper must have an abstract between 150 and 300 words in length.

- Papers must be a minimum of 1,500 words in length (maximum of 5,000 words).

Logos is extending our search for editors and layout designers for its 2021-2022 publication!
If you’re interested in getting involved with a student initiative, reading and revising papers on topics in Classical, Near Eastern, and Religious Studies, or journal layout and design, then join this year’s team! All experience levels are welcome, and all positions look great on a CV or grad school application. Send and email to [email protected] by February 7th at 11:59pm.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS 2019/20

We are currently seeking submissions for our 5th issue!

Any current UBC undergraduate can submit a research paper to Logos. Authors do not need to major or minor in CNERS, and papers do not have to be written for CNERS classes, provided that their content is relevant.

This year, we are welcoming students to submit a personal essay that shares their experience in CNERS and related fields, with the goal of promoting more self-awareness and self-criticism in Arts programs. Appropriate topics include, for example, firsthand experiences in language classes, fieldwork, or lab work, and how your identity has impacted and been impacted by your pursuit of an Arts degree. The maximum word count for submissions is 3000 words.

The deadline for all Submissions is Friday, January 10th. Submissions should be sent to [email protected].
