Junior School Robotics Competes At ISABC 🤖
This past Wednesday, the Junior School Robotics Club took part in the ISABC Robotics Competition at Collingwood School. Students programmed their robots and tackled a series of challenges that encouraged problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking. Congratulations to all who took part in the competition. We look forward to seeing where their curiosity and innovation take them next!

Students Celebrate Wing Day In the Sun ☀️
This morning, the Senior School enjoyed a bright and cheerful Wing Day filled with games and camaraderie. Students kicked things off outside with a tug-of-war competition, with the added challenge of water balloons. Throughout the School, there were a variety of activities, including Slip ’N Slide Human Curling, Soccer, Clay Challenges, Fencing, and more. It was a fun way to bring the Senior School together and celebrate Wing spirit!

Rocking Out With The Kindergartners 🪨💎
This afternoon, Kindergarten students took part in Show and Tell, a fun classroom activity where the Special Helper of the day brings in an item to share with the class. Students are encouraged to choose something they know a lot about, have created themselves, or that connects to their learning. Today, James B. ’38 shared his rock collection, including his favourite piece, a geode he cracked open himself. Students enjoyed learning about different rocks and gems, passing them around, and even observing them on a light table!

What If Your Idea Could Become Something Real?
At Startup Stars, campers step into the role of young entrepreneurs, imagining ideas, creating solutions, and learning how ventures and social enterprises are brought to life. Through hands-on challenges and team-based projects, students will explore real-world problems and design innovative solutions.
The week wraps up with “Saints Pitch Day,” where campers present their ideas to a panel of “investors.” It’s a fun, high-energy finale that helps them strengthen their public speaking abilities and sharpen their persuasion skills in a high-stakes setting.
This camp is designed to help campers build confidence in their creativity, collaboration, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking. Enjoy a week of big ideas, bold thinking, and real-world impact.

Grade 8 Students Explore The Science Of Sight 👁️
This morning during the first block, Grade 8 Science students participated in a Sheep Eye Dissection Lab as part of their Physics unit on Optics. As they carefully dissected the eye, students identified key structures including the cornea, sclera, eyelid, and optic nerve. Some students were even able to look through the lens of the eye, offering a fascinating firsthand glimpse into how vision works. Casen Y. ’30 shared that the lab helped him understand how humans see light. It was an engaging start to the day and deepened students’ appreciation for hands-on scientific learning.

The Senior School Music Department Presents “Pacific Spirit” April 30th! 🎶🌲
Join us on Thursday, April 30 at 7:00 pm in the Auditorium of the Sung Family Performing Arts Centre for “Pacific Spirit,” the Senior School Music Department’s Spring Concert and Awards Ceremony. This afternoon, the Grade 8 Concert Band Day 1 class rehearsed “Arachnophobia and Fugue” by James Meredith, one of the pieces they will perform during the concert. The evening will celebrate a year of growth for the department, including the first performances in newly renovated rehearsal spaces and the successful return of the 2026 European Band Tour. Audience members will also hear “Pacific Spirit,” a commissioned work by Mr. Marcus Goddard, Composer, that honours St. George’s School’s longstanding partnership with Aichach. The concert will also feature performances by student musicians in Grades 8–12, final performances from the Class of 2026, and an awards ceremony. We hope you will join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating music, community, and friendship!

This Saturday, join us for the St. George’s School Fair from 10:00 am–4:00 pm on May 2nd at the Junior School Campus for a day of magical fun, classic games, live performances, delicious food, and the Grads & Dads Barbecue. Last week, Junior School students helped kick off Saints Fair excitement by handing out lawn signs during morning drop-off.
All proceeds from The Fair support the Head of School Tour Assistance Fund, the SGPA Student Assistance Fund, and the Emergency Assistance Fund. St. George’s Day Celebrations At The Senior School
Today, the Senior School marked St. George’s Day with a celebration centred on school spirit and community. The morning began with a special Assembly, honouring Mr. Brenton Wilke, Media Arts Teacher, and Mr. Rob Murray, Music Teacher, for their twenty-five years of service to the School. The Assembly also included inspiring speeches from Mr. David Young, Head of School, and Mr. Len Gurr, Senior School Principal. Bijan M. ’26 reflected on his time as School Captain, and next year’s Senior School Student Government electees were announced. The Saints Fair Head Convenors also helped build excitement for the upcoming School Fair on May 2nd by launching chocolate frogs into the audience! Afterwards, students enjoyed a special lunch featuring hot dogs, burgers, chocolate chip cookies, and lemonade. It was a memorable day that highlighted school spirit, celebrated student leadership, and recognized the meaningful contributions of our dedicated faculty members!
