Meet alum Ian Stone (BA’22) 🌍 With a background in Political Science & International Relations from UBC, Ian has built a global career rooted in education and public policy.
From working as a consultant with Deloitte’s Higher Ed Transformation team to supporting development initiatives in Kyrgyzstan through a fellowship with the Aga Khan Foundation, Ian is passionate about creating meaningful change. He’s also contributed to Canadian-Indo Pacific relations through work with the Asia Pacific Foundation and the Canada China Forum.

Charis has a passion for public service and advocacy, which she’s put into action through her work at Queen’s Legal Aid and the Queen’s Family Law Clinic—supporting underrepresented clients and gaining real-world legal experience. This summer, she’s heading to the Civil branch of the Crown Law Office in Toronto! 🇨🇦

Meet alum Cole Evans (BA'23), now a consultant at Deloitte Canada, where he works on transformational organization design, governance, and operating model initiatives.
From leading the AMS through the COVID-19 pandemic to advising governments and billion-dollar companies, Cole’s work reflects his belief that consulting isn’t just “corporate fluff” — it’s about real impact.
“I’ve worked on projects that have improved public safety, supported the Canadian energy transition, and enhanced the way we work with foreign governments. These are consulting projects, but they also could just as easily be topics you might cover in a Political Science course," he said.
