What does accessibility look like across VSB?
Itβs how students learn, how staff work and how families and community members connect with schools and district services.
For VSB, accessibility is not limited to physical access. It is a system-wide commitment to reducing barriers and creating inclusive learning and working environments where everyone can participate fully and meaningfully.

From May 13-17, 2026, students from across the lower mainland participated in the inaugural OneAbility Games at the Richmond Olympic Oval. π β½ π
The Games are an accessible event that invites K-12 students to participate in various adaptive sports, often for the first time! Students also had the chance to learn from competitive athletes from the disability sport community. π₯
βIt was a well-organized, fun and empowering event. The students loved trying several adaptive sports like wheelchair basketball, lacrosse, track and soccer,β says Anna-Lisa Singer, Learning Assistance/Life Skills teacher at Killarney Secondary.
Great job to everyone who participated! π
