People tend to get confused when trying to "change timing" and start to avoid dancing on the One and the 2! 🙅🏽‍♂️ If you really want to get into the timing, learn how to change time in UNISON with the kick and the snare! The mentality in is that the pop is consistent like a heartbeat. Boom, Clap, Boom, Clap! Learn to play around it. There's more to it than just 1,2,1,2. Don't rush to be impressive. 💯 ? 👊🏽🤔

Another simple way to get variation on your moves is direction change! 🤩 Twisting, shifting on the heels, spins. Don't think about it like doing a blow up move; sprinkle it on here and there and see what happens 🌱 Hint: Which foundational moves have these built in? 🤫

Travelling is one of simplest things you can do to make your basic moves become more varied and advanced. It doesn't matter you travel 10 metres or 10 cm- learn to use the space around you if you want to level up! 🔥💯

When learning choreography, for me the most important thing to catch is the FEEL and listen to the music (not just the tempo). These 2 things will help you years later, long after you've forgotten the movement. 😅🤘

Focus on the feel. And let your movement build out from that naturally. For me, that feel usually starts from one small movement in my body. Where does the feel start in this clip? My approach is inspired from one of my teachers, 👊
