Announcing the winners from ! We are still buzzing after an engaging and lively event at Vancouver City Hall this past Monday. We saw over 140 City staff, faculty, students, and volunteers come out to celebrate the amazing work from the past term, enjoy popcorn and learn more about another exciting round of projects.

Our expert judges deliberated and selected the winners based on the HUBBUB criteria of the project’s replicability, scalability, novelty, their overall potential to benefit the city, and how well each project addressed the City's guiding question. In a surprising twist and first in HUBBUB's history, one school scored high in all three top spots, as well as the people's choice award! Congratulations, for this incredible achievement, and to all the students who participated and presented at !

It's our anniversary! In these ten years, we’ve expanded our reach from a dozen to 1,000 students each term, we’ve learned by doing, by following an idea and by experimenting. We’ve seen for ourselves that good projects are the result of good relationships, and that working together is the only way forward. We know from experience that small projects – like CityStudio started – can add up to big changes in our community, our city and in ourselves. Thank you to all our past collaborators! Celebrate with us by leaving a comment about a meaningful experience you shared with us, and by reading our latest post, CityStudio Vancouver Celebrating 10 Years of Innovation, Relationships and Youth at the Centre of City Building:

"We became comfortable being uncomfortable by engaging in dialogue that disrupted our frames of reference and transformed our ways of thinking" – Margarita Pacis. When an experience prompts or inspires a change, there’s no telling what it will lead to! We're truly inspired by the story submissions we received in response to our CityStudio Changemaker Contest. We want to honour the journey our collaborators have taken, the time we shared together, and the relationships that left an impact on our team and programs. Read their stories here:
