More than 200 Senior School students spent Monday making a difference across Metro Vancouver for our annual Service Learning Day.
Partnering with 11 community organizations, students mentored younger learners, welcomed newcomer families, prepared meals, performed for seniors, donated blood, restored local habitats, built mountain bike trails, and contributed to community gardens—just to name a few of the many ways they served.
Thank you to our community partners, faculty, and staff for making the day possible. Service Learning Day is a powerful reminder that even small acts of service can create meaningful impact.

Today our Senior School students took part in The Last Gang in Town walking tour through the Clark Park neighbourhood, exploring an important and complex chapter of East Vancouver history.
Guided by local writer and historian Aaron Chapman, alongside former Clark Park gang members Bradley Bennett and Danny “Mouse” Williamson, students walked the streets where events of the 1970s unfolded, learning about the tensions between the VPD’s undercover “H-Squad” and the Clark Park gang, and the lasting impact of this era on the community.
It was a powerful opportunity to engage with local history in a real-world setting—bringing the stories of place, people, and time to life beyond the classroom.

Smiles, songs, snacks, and so much joy. ❤️
Our Kindergarten Year-End Celebration was a joyful reflection on a year of friendship, learning, and growth. Families enjoyed a heartwarming slideshow filled with memories from throughout the year, while students shared songs in English, French, and Spanish—showcasing the confidence, curiosity, and creativity they have developed along the way.
It was a beautiful celebration of how far they have come, and a reminder of just how much can happen in one remarkable year. We are so proud of our Kindergarten students and can't wait to see all they will accomplish as they embark on another exciting year of learning and adventure in Grade 1! 🎶✨

Thank you to our incredible parent volunteers for the countless ways you enrich our school community and enhance the learning experience for our students.
Whether serving as crossing guards, grade representatives, recess duty volunteers, field trip chaperones, event organizers, members of the SHPA Executive Committee, or helping transform our campus for festivals and cultural celebrations, your generosity of time and spirit makes a meaningful difference every day.
This morning, we were delighted to celebrate and thank our volunteers at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast. The Junior School Choir shared a beautiful performance of One World, and speakers from both the Junior and Senior School expressed their gratitude for all that you do.
Our community is stronger because of you. Thank you for your partnership, dedication, and support. ✨

🥈 A silver-medal finish for Sabres Golf!
Congratulations to Jacky L, Wilson D, Austin J, Mason W, Winston D, and Tristan Z on their outstanding performance at the 2026 ISEA Grade 5–7 Tournament at Gleneagles Golf Course.
In the first year of our golf program, the team earned a silver medal with a 2nd-place overall finish in a highly competitive field. Special congratulations to Mason W for winning Closest to the Pin in the boys’ division, and to Jacky L for shooting an impressive 69—the lowest score of the tournament.
More than the results, we are proud of the growth, dedication, and sportsmanship our golfers have demonstrated throughout the season. It has been wonderful to watch their skills, confidence, and teamwork develop over the year.
Thank you to Canada Golf Academy for their support and partnership in helping our young golfers grow.

There’s something special about watching generations of Sabres reconnect under one roof.
From the Class of 2017 to the Class of 2026 — our newest alumni who graduated just last week — it was so special to see our alumni community come together last night for our Spring Alumni Social.
There were so many smiles, hugs, and conversations as alumni reconnected with former schoolmates, caught up with teachers and staff, and shared heartfelt goodbyes with departing faculty. From university highs and lows to new careers, summer internships, travel plans, families, and exciting next chapters, it was incredible to hear where life has taken our Sabres since graduation.
What stood out most was the lifelong connection that continues long after students leave Stratford Hall. No matter the year or where life takes them, the strength of this tight-knit community remains.
Once a Sabre, always a Sabre.

Last week, our Grade 4s headed to Camp Sasamat for their very first overnight camping trip with the school! 🌲🏕️
From kayaking across the lake to conquering the climbing wall, trying archery, and sharing campfire moments, students stepped outside their comfort zones and into new adventures. Along the way, they built confidence, independence, friendships, and a deeper appreciation for the outdoors.
A few days full of laughter, connection, and unforgettable memories.
