Spring 2026 Field Studies.
Our final stop was the Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre () , where students participated in a “Living Land” walk through the desert landscape before exploring the indoor exhibits. This immersive experience helped deepen their understanding of the region’s unique ecosystem and Indigenous perspectives.
To top it off, students took part in an exciting snake program, where they safely got up close with snakes native to the area—including a rattlesnake! It was a memorable and engaging way to connect learning with real-life experiences.
On the way home, we also passed by the famous Spotted Lake, adding one more unique and memorable sight to an already incredible trip.

Spring 2026 Field Studies.
Students visited the for an engaging guided tour, where they explored Floor Opener by Lawrence Paul Yuxweluptun and Tree Planters by Rita Leistner. The experience encouraged thoughtful discussion about contemporary art and diverse perspectives with a focus on Indigenous rights and environmental destruction.
Grade 8 and 9 students also had the opportunity to get creative with a hands-on acrylic painting session, applying techniques inspired by what they observed in the gallery.

Our Grade 10–12 students took on a digital scavenger hunt around the city and waterfront —exploring local landmarks, uncovering hidden details, and working together to solve challenges along the way. A perfect blend of teamwork, problem-solving, and discovering the community from a new perspective. Learning happens everywhere!

Our students took a guided campus tour of — getting a glimpse into university life, future pathways, and the opportunities that lie ahead. From learning spaces to student life, it was inspiring to imagine what’s next beyond high school. A day filled with discovery, reflection, and a look toward the future.

Our visit to the Kamloops Indian Residential School site, , and the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc powwow grounds invited us to listen, learn, and remember. Students engaged with the stories, resilience, and living culture of the Secwépemc people — gaining a deeper understanding of the lasting impacts of residential schools and the importance of truth and reconciliation.
This was a space for reflection, respect, and growth — where history is honoured and voices are upheld.

From coming face-to-face with the incredible spirit bear to a rare, up-close experience with a burrowing owl, our visit at sparked awe and deepened our respect for BC’s wildlife.
So much learning about conservation, habitats, and the importance of protecting these amazing species. We're so grateful for the chance to connect with nature and see these animals up close!

Spring 2026 Field Studies.
Honoured to step into living history at the Gur Sikh Temple National Historic Site. Guided by Dr. Sharanjit Kaur Sandhra, our students explored one of the oldest surviving gurdwaras in North America — learning about the early Sikh community, their resilience, and the role this sacred space played in building belonging and justice in Canada.
Stories came alive as we reflected on identity, migration, and community leadership — reminding us that history isn’t just something we study, but something we carry forward. Grateful for the knowledge shared and the connections made.

EcoDairy Farm gave us a behind-the-scenes look at sustainable farming in action — where innovation meets animal care and environmental responsibility. From robotic milking to learning how farmers reduce their footprint, our students saw firsthand how agriculture is evolving for the future.
