📕 Question of the Day ⚖️ 🍎 :

A 55-year-old accountant reports a 6 week history of right shoulder pain and stiffness. He has difficulty reaching overhead and behind his back. Pain is worse at night and when lying on the right affected side.

He's quite frustrated as 12 weeks ago he tripped while walking down the stairs, fracturing his left distal radius. He had just gotten out of a cast when his right shoulder started getting sore.
He reports no right shoulder pain from the fall.

His shoulder presentation is most consistent with which condition?

A. Supraspinatus strain
B. Adhesive capsulitis
C. Subacromial impingement
D. Glenohumeral instability

FAQ: How often are there classes or sessions for the Physio Refresh program?

The majority of Physio Refresh is self-directed, meaning registrants work through the online materials at their own pace, without a program instructor or facilitator. There are a few scheduled events delivered via Zoom. Participants will receive the confirmed schedule in advance so they can plan to attend accordingly. All live sessions are scheduled in Pacific Standard Time (PST).

📕 Question of the Day ⚖️ 🍎 :

A 10 year old girl is seen by you in a fracture clinic. She fell off her bike and was diagnosed in the emergency department with a distal radius fracture. The fracture is reduced and immobilized in a cast for an anticipated 6 weeks?

You call her in to provide instructions regarding the time while her cast is on, however, her mother has gone down to the cafeteria. You proceed by:

A. Providing the information to the patient and a book for her mother to review

B. Reviewing the range of motion exercises only

C. Waiting for her mother to return before continuing

D. Informing her mother that she has missed her appointment and providing her with the follow-up book

FAQ: Why does the program end on the same day as the national exam?

Your access to the online content remains open until the national exam date – if you need to review material the night before the exam, you can still access all of the online content.
