Your personal trainer education at Infofit could be fully funded. 💛
If you are a young adult in BC with experience in government care, the cost of training for a real career might not fall on you at all.
Infofit is BC’s leading fitness education college, and with us you don’t just take a course. You become a certified personal trainer, ready to work in the industry. Our students train hands-on, learn from experienced instructors, and prepare for nationally recognized certifications like BCRPA and ACE. That is the foundation of a career built to last.
And here is the part that changes everything. Through a Government of British Columbia program called SAJE (Strengthening Abilities and Journeys of Empowerment), eligible young adults transitioning out of care can have their education funded. Because SAJE recognizes vocational programs, your Personal Trainer Certification at Infofit can be included in your individual SAJE plan.
That means the tuition, the training, and your first real step into the fitness world could be covered.
Why Infofit:
🔹 Certified personal trainer training recognized across BC and beyond.
🔹 Hands-on learning and mentorship from real industry professionals.
🔹 Preparation for BCRPA and ACE certification.
🔹 A genuine career path, with job opportunities after you graduate.
SAJE is also separate from the Provincial Tuition Waiver, so you may still qualify even though Infofit is a private career college.
Ready to turn your passion for fitness into a career? Check your eligibility on the BC SAJE website, speak with a SAJE Guide, and reach out to us so we can send the Infofit program details you can bring to your worker. Link in bio. 🔗
Turns out everything is resistance training if you commit hard enough😅
Grocery bags, a stubborn gym door, a guy who really wanted what wasn’t his... it’s all just progressive overload with extra drama.
Functional strength is like that. It shows up when you least expect it, and it does not let go.💪
Want to actually understand how strength works, and train it in others? Explore our courses on the website. 🔗
Ever wonder why your recovery doesn’t look like your gym partner’s? Turns out women and men don’t bounce back the same way after a workout. 💪
Here’s what the science says:
🔹 Women tend to have more slow-twitch (endurance) muscle fibres, meaning greater fatigue resistance and often quicker recovery between moderate sets.
🔹 Men tend to have more fast-twitch fibres for power and explosiveness, but those fatigue faster.
🔹 Women often burn fat more efficiently during exercise, helping spare muscle glycogen and sustain effort longer.
🔹 Estrogen plays a big role too, supporting fat metabolism, muscle repair, and recovery, and it shifts across the cycle and through menopause.
The takeaway? Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all. Smart training means coaching the individual, not copying a generic plan.
Recovery isn’t weakness. It’s where the results actually happen.

“Heavy weights are for young people.” 🏋️♀️
Plot twist: it’s the opposite.
As women move past 35, hormones start to shift and the body stops responding to training the way it used to. Less muscle tone despite the same workouts, slower recovery, more concern about bone density. The fix isn’t lighter weights and more cardio. It’s smarter, stronger training.
Here’s what most people get wrong: heavier strength work sends a stronger signal to your muscles, bones, and nervous system, exactly what the body needs as estrogen declines. It protects bone density, preserves lean muscle, and keeps you powerful and independent for decades.
“Heavy” is always relative. For one person it’s a goblet squat, for another it’s a loaded barbell. What matters is progressive, well-coached load, not age.
Aging is inevitable. Frailty is not.💪
This is exactly the kind of science our students learn to coach with confidence.

What are you doing for the next six weekends? 👀
Because they could be the ones that change your whole career. Our Fast Track Personal Trainer Program kicks off August 15, and in just six weekends you could go from “thinking about it” to certified and ready to work with clients.
Real credentials and expert coaching, on a timeline that works for you. Weekends only, right here in Vancouver.
And if the cost is what’s holding you back, we’ve made it as accessible as possible. There are flexible payment plans with no credit check needed, so you can spread the cost over time. Because Infofit is a Certified Educational Institution, your tuition is tax deductible and comes with an official T2202 tax receipt, meaning a portion of what you pay can come back to you at tax time. The program is also eligible for the Canada Training Credit, and we accept student loans and RESPs. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify too.
You don’t need to have it all figured out before you start. You just need the motivation to take that first step, and we’ll be with you the whole way. 💛

Students, not suitors, that’s what we’re here for. Jokes aside, this is the kind of energy and personality you’ll find all over Infofit, and it’s exactly what makes this place so much fun to be part of.
But behind all the laughs is something we care about deeply: helping people turn a passion for health and fitness into a real career. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin, you just need that first spark of motivation, and we’ll take care of the rest. 💛

Cold plunge? Sauna? Hot tub? Everyone’s got a recovery hack these days. 🧊🔥
Cold plunges, saunas, hot tubs and heat therapy are everywhere—and influencers often make the benefits sound more proven than they really are.
But what does the research actually show?
Can using heat after strength training really help you build more muscle, or is it just another fitness trend getting ahead of the science?
A new review looked at exactly that.
The finding: heat might give a small boost to muscle growth.
Emphasis on small. And the science is still early.
Here is the part that actually matters:
Recovery is not one-size-fits-all.
Cold, heat, sleep, nutrition… each one affects your body differently depending on your goal.
Chasing the trend is easy. Knowing when to use it is the real skill.
This is the kind of evidence-based thinking we teach our students at Infofit.

We trust professionals with everything that matters.
So why is “personal trainer” the one job people think you can fake in a weekend?
Your body is not a hobby project. Movement, injury, recovery, results… that is real science, and it deserves someone who actually studied it.
A certificate is easy to buy. Trust is not.
At Infofit, we train coaches who earn it. The kind clients come back to, and refer their friends to.
If you are going to do this, do it for real.
