"I want the audience to be reminded they are on Indigenous land when they see this flag."

Today, we were honoured to host a flag-raising ceremony in recognition of National Indigenous History Month.

The flag was designed by one of our talented students in collaboration with his grandmother, a master weaver from the Musqueam Nation. Blending modern graphic design with traditional ancestral weaving patterns and photography of the sacred cedar branch, the artwork reimagines the Canadian flag through an Indigenous lens of reconciliation, respect, and connection to the land.

We invite you to stop by the front of the school to experience this meaningful work in person and reflect on how we can honour Indigenous Peoples' languages, cultures, and voices.

What an incredible night at our annual athletics banquet! 🐴✨

From celebrating the hard work our student-athletes, to welcoming everyone’s favourite local celebrity, Marty the Mustang, it was a night full of pride.

At Fraser Academy, we know that winning doesn’t always mean coming first. It means pushing yourself, growing, and doing better than you’ve done before. We are so proud of all our student-athletes and everything they accomplished this year. Congratulations on an amazing season, and go Mustangs!

Today we’re looking back at this incredible Salish Sea project created by our Junior School students. Like many projects at Fraser Academy, this wasn’t just about art, it was an exploration of marine biology and local stewardship. 🐳

Inspired by their visit to the Vancouver Aquarium students transformed what they learned into texture, colour, and movement, showcasing both their creativity and curiosity. While the art show has passed, the project’s message still lingers: when students work side-by-side, their individual ideas can come together to create something vibrant, connected, and thriving.
