Today is the first day of classes for our second year of The Way College. We are so excited for how God is going to move in the lives of our students as they learn and grow together.

THROUGH THE LOCAL CHURCH students will be given opportunities to gain hands-on ministry experience working alongside The Way Church team and lay leaders to train them for future ministry leadership.

The Way College is designed to give students a comprehensive view of the Bible, a robust experience of Christian community, and opportunity to grow one’s leadership within local church ministry.

FACULTY HIGHLIGHT 📚

Have you ever wondered who might be teaching one of your classes in the fall? Meet Nick Corbin, one of our faculty members. Nick teaches Spiritual Formation, alongside coordinating student life and recruitment.

We asked him a couple of questions to get to know him better!

👉What are your specific interests/passions in Theology?
I enjoy thinking about and wrestling through how transformation actually takes place in a person's life. We are constantly being formed through the rhythms and practices in our daily lives whether we realize it or not. The process of spiritual formation in Christlikeness is one in which all the dimensions of our life are transformed as they increasingly take on the character of our Teacher. As Dallas Willard said, “all that is needed from us to change things…is sustained apprenticeship...to Jesus”.

👉What is your favourite part about working for The Way College?
The joy of working alongside close friends and walking with students who love Jesus and His Church.

STUDENT HIGHLIGHT: Leah

Meet Leah! She’s just completed her first year with The Way College.

❓What brought you to The Way College?

The Way Church is the reason I applied to the College. I have never before been to a church with such richly layered sermons, structured on sound biblical doctrine, that are also deeply captivating. The more I learn about who Jesus is, and why the Bible instructs followers of Jesus the way it does - the more I am inspired to choose to live my everyday life in a manner worthy of the kingdom of heaven. I decided it would be unwise to not take the opportunity to learn everything I could - about the God of the Bible, and the Bible itself - from the brilliant followers of Jesus that make up the pastoral team and faculty at The Way College.

❓What has been most impactful this year in your discipleship journey?

Cultivating and nurturing deep, meaningful connections and relationships with women in the community at The Way Church and through the College has had the most impact on my discipleship journey. The camaraderie with these women has been both enriching and rewarding. It's a privilege to be a part of a community where we can openly share our joys, struggles, doubts, and triumphs, knowing that we are supported and uplifted by one another's love and encouragement. The beauty of these relationships lies in their authenticity and the way they reflect the transformative power of genuine connection within the body of Christ.

The Way College team had an incredible morning with the high school students of Pacific Academy in Surrey. The team came and led musical worship, brought a word and hung out to share about The Way College.

We loved meeting the students and administration and hearing how God is working by in and through their school. The Lord is creating incredible leaders at Pacific Academy!

Congratulations to our students who have just completed their first year at The Way College!

It has been a joy to see what God has done in & through your lives.

Many of them will be returning for Year 2 in September. Let’s keep them in prayer as they rest & work over the summer.
