I’m Thrishala Weerawardana, authorized representative for University Canada West. I was born and raised in Sri Lanka. I obtained my primary and secondary education from Anula Vidyalaya, Nugegoda and Musaeus College, Colombo 07. Upon completion of my G.C.E Advanced Level examination, I got selected to the University of Sri Jayawardanapura to complete my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I was also able to complete my Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) examinations while I was an undergrad at USJP. I moved to Canada just after a year from my graduation and having worked as a Financial Analyst in Personal Finance. My move to Canada back in 2019 was focused on obtaining my Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Finance. While I was a student I was fortunate enough to work a few years in real estate under an amazing realtor and my mentor Casie Menihick. I continued to work as a real estate agent assistant even after graduation till I made a switch in my career to Finance and Accounting. I’m currently working in Finance at Thompson Community Services in Kamloops BC, which I thoroughly enjoy.
I have been working in partnership with UCW for over a year and have had many successful applicants with a 100% visa acceptance rate. I believe education deserves an important place in our lives not just because it helps you go up your career but also it helps you guide your decisions in life. My attempt is to help as many as international students who wish to accomplish their academic goals and to drive them in the right direction.
