๐ŸŒฑ Last week, the VCC community gathered at our Broadway campus for the annual Three Sisters Garden planting.

Hosted by the Indigenous Education and Community Engagement team, the hands-on afternoon offered a meaningful way for participants to learn from Elders and knowledge holders about cooperation, reciprocity, and our relationship with the land.

It was a beautiful day of collaborative storytelling and strengthening ties to the traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. We appreciate Rebecca Duncan, VCCโ€™s Knowledge Holder in Residence, for grounding the space with an incredible drumming session, and everyone who joined us to cultivate this shared community space.

๐Ÿฆท Smiles, learning, and community care came together once again as Vancouver Community College welcomed elementary school children to our Downtown Dental Clinic for complimentary preventative dental care.

Now in its 20th year, this initiative helps improve access to oral health services while giving VCC Certified Dental Assisting students valuable hands-on experience. From oral health education to visits from our VCC "tooth fairies," children were welcomed into a positive and supportive environment designed to build healthy habits and confidence.

Thank you to our students, faculty, staff, and partners for helping make a difference, one smile at a time.
