We are proud to announce that on Friday, September 19th, our school will be participating in the Terry Fox School Run. This meaningful event unites us with schools and communities across Canada in support of Terry Fox’s dream of hope, perseverance, and making a difference. Together, we will honour his legacy while raising funds for cancer research.

Who is Terry Fox?
Terry Fox was a young Canadian who, after losing his leg to cancer, set out in 1980 to run across Canada to raise money and awareness for cancer research. He called it the “Marathon of Hope.” Although he was forced to stop after running more than 5,300 km due to the return of his cancer, his courage and determination inspired a nation.

Why is the Terry Fox Run Important?
The Terry Fox Run is held each year across Canada and around the world. It is not just about raising money for cancer research, but also about carrying forward Terry’s dream of hope, perseverance, and making a difference. Participating in the run shows our support for cancer research and unites us as a community in Terry’s spirit of determination and compassion.
