Just a shout out to Kendal Crawford who is right now swimming around Bowen Island to raise money for SPCA. She is amazing! Has already swam from Horseshoe Bay to Gambier Island, and also Squamish to Gambier! Insane!
She’s halfway around already & her donation page is halfway to her goal also! It would be great if she hit her target before finishing the swim!

Wheezers, Fevers, Pukers & Poopers
Register at Trout Lake community centre on Sept 13, or Nov 29, 12-3pm

For parents & caregivers of infants to school age kids. Non mobile babies welcome.
Come learn about all the health challenges wee ones can present with. Learn what you can & should do first at home and when its time to seek out & where other option can be found.

How is YOUR confidence when:

Toddlers put things up their nose! (Or In their ears!)
You see a red crusty eye?
Little ones fall. (Often… !)
Kids get fevers! Is that bad?
Runny noses & congestion!
Babies skin isn’t perfect… hives & rashes
Giving medicine to infants…. How much & how?
Is that twiching normal or a seizure?

Alison Mills has more than 20 years experience as emergency & pediatric nurse, former first aid/cpr/paramedic instructor & Mother. TykeTalks’ “Wheezers, Fevers, Pukers & Poopers” class talks about severity of button battery ingestion, but a new provincial protocol recomends 10mls of honey every 10 mins while enroute to hospital (age 1+).
