EARLY BIRD SALE ON NOW! Are you a new actor? Are you transitioning from theatre to film? Are you an experienced actor who needs a reset or feels blocked in some way? The Actor’s Lab is a 3-day immersive scene study designed to train your emotional instincts and bring authentic choices to storytelling. This is truly the most fun type of class to teach and take, in my opinion. Scene study classes are where I’ve always pushed myself and grown the most as an actor and an artist.

Characters hide things just like we do in life. The camera sees all. If you think something, the camera will see it. You don’t have to push or “show your work” in film acting.

The Script to Screen scene study class posted above is designed to push the Actor emotionally and imaginatively beyond their comfort zone. It’s a class where we explore and push those boundaries, so that when we go to film, we know how it feels to hold that tension internally. We must stretch and push limits as actors in order to pull back.

Ask yourself: How you can cover as your character in your next self tape? What’s your character hiding? What do they want? Where are the micro moments or glimmers where we might see a crack in their demeanor or a vulnerability leak that reveals something about them. Remember, that if you feel it internally, the audience will feel and see it because cameras don’t lie.

I’m really, really, really excited about this one. Bethany B Bethany Arcand-Kootenay has booked a principal role on a very exciting new series.

I’m not surprised, because her tape was dialed in. ❤️‍🔥🎬

Just closed a wild run with Madfox Theatre, and my character Gale was no walk in the park.

The play was repetitive by design, full of interrupted dialogue and unfinished thoughts. Taxing subject matter. Taxing role. Some mornings I woke up feeling totally emotionally hung over!

That’s the trade-off when you’re hunting for the real real.

Swipe for my secret weapon (I know I said there were no tricks, but this thing really does work no matter what level you’re at)🎭
