Helping people find their steady voice. I’m Josh Hatt; educator, director, and coach.

Through Steady Voice Consulting, I work with students, teachers, and organizations to build confidence in writing, speaking, presenting, and performing.

I’m Josh, a Vancouver based teacher, coach, and curriculum designer. Through Steady Voice Consulting, I help individuals and organizations communicate with clarity and confidence in writing, speaking, teaching, and leadership. I work in person in Vancouver and online worldwide.

I did not grow up as someone who naturally took up space. I was bullied. I had a stutter. Confidence came later through theatre, student leadership, and educators who believed in me before I believed in myself.

Theatre changed me. Not because it made me louder, but because it gave me a safe place to practise being fully myself. That understanding, that confidence is built rather than bestowed, led me into education and continues to shape my work.

I am also a father to a son on the Autism Spectrum. That experience deepened my belief that communication is not one size fits all. Growth is not linear. Every person and every organization has its own rhythm, strengths, and way of processing the world.

That is how I work.

With individuals, I meet you where you are and build a practical path forward.

With organisations, I listen first. I study culture, language, and pressure points. Then we design something that fits. Bespoke training, curriculum, and systems that reflect your people and your goals. Not a template. Not a trend. Something built with care and intention.

Whether I am coaching one person or supporting a team of hundreds, the approach is the same: Clarity. Respect. Steady growth.

I am not here to fix you. I am here to help you strengthen what is already there and show up with steadiness when it matters.

I am incredibly proud to share that Steady Voice Consulting is partnering with New Vision Care Homes

New Vision does extraordinary work across Nova Scotia, supporting seniors and persons with disabilities through residential care facilities, small option homes, assisted living, independent living supports, and complex care solutions for individuals who have struggled to find suitable placements elsewhere.

Their philosophy is simple and powerful. Start with the person.

They practice a deeply person centered approach, identifying each participant’s unique needs, respecting autonomy, and building a thoughtful circle of care around them. Under the DSP umbrella, their commitment is clear. Making every day matter.

What inspires me most?
They understand that life changing care starts with life changing support for staff.

With more than 600 employees, New Vision is investing in their frontline Regional Rehabilitation Workers, the people doing the real, relational, day to day work that transforms lives. From core competencies to advanced training, they are choosing to elevate their teams.

That is where Steady Voice comes in.

We are designing a bespoke Autism Spectrum Disorder training model grounded in real world experience. Practical. Scalable. Built specifically for their teams.

This is the kind of partnership I care about.
- Organizations that value people.
- Leaders who invest in culture.
- Teams who want to grow.

If you are building something meaningful and want training that strengthens voice, clarity, and confidence across your organization, I would love to connect.
