Zhuge Academy

At Zhuge Academy, our SAT English Prep Class is designed for students in Grade 9 and above, especially those preparing for the Grade 10 summer exam. With a small class size of 1-on-2 or 1-on-3, students receive personalized attention to master key SAT exam skills. The program consists of 16 sessions, totaling 32 hours, and includes both in-person and online classes running from July 2 to August 23.

Our curriculum focuses on real past SAT exam questions, offering detailed explanations of the exam format and question types. Students work on overcoming challenges related to reading speed and accuracy, while also honing their writing techniques for clarity and precision. Through mock exams, students practice with real test content, gaining mastery over vocabulary analysis, critical reading, and cloze exercises. Our SAT Prep Class equips students with the skills and confidence to succeed on the exam, all while preparing them to tackle future academic challenges.

The John Locke Writing Competition is a prestigious international contest aimed at encouraging young students to engage critically with philosophical, political, and social issues. Named after the famous 17th-century English philosopher, John Locke, the competition invites participants to explore topics in fields such as economics, law, politics, history, philosophy, theology, and psychology.

Open to students under the age of 18, the competition encourages analytical and creative writing through carefully crafted essay prompts in each subject area. Participants are required to select one of the provided questions and compose a well-reasoned essay of up to 2000 words.

Select one topic from the fields of economics, law, politics, history, philosophy, theology, psychology, or junior categories, and write an essay of no more than 2000 words (excluding charts, tables, footnotes, bibliography, or author statements) for submission.

This competition provides a platform for students to challenge themselves intellectually, enhance their writing skills, and think deeply about significant topics that impact the world. Winners and top entries gain not only recognition but also valuable academic opportunities, often cited as a highly respected achievement in university applications.
