Dear JUMP! Canada Community,
Many areas in the Cariboo region are currently under the threat of forest fires. Near the Educo site, we are closely monitoring the Flat Lake fire outside 100 Mile House. This fire is 12km directly south of the Educo site, however, the fire is currently moving in a northeastern direction and is NOT moving towards the Educo. Educo is just sitting outside the current evacuation order and according to official assessment is currently a safe distance away from the fire.
Unfortunately, the town of 100 Mile and many surrounding areas are on evacuation alert. Our thoughts are with the community members and everyone affected in the area as they grapple with the uncertainty and stress of the situation.
The BC Wildfire site has up-to-date information on the fire boundaries and evacuation areas.
Stay safe everyone,
The JUMP! Team
