🌍 Happy Earth Day from Love Our Oceans Project! 🌏

As stewards of animal health, veterinary professionals have a unique responsibility to champion sustainability. By adopting practices like pill vial recycling and weight-based methodologies for injectable controlled substances, we can significantly reduce plastic waste in our industry.

Let’s protect our oceans and the incredible marine life that call them home! 💙

💙♻️ 691 pill vials recycled! ♻️💙

Thanks to the incredible efforts of our LOOP Network clinic partners, we’ve diverted over 5.5 kilograms (12.2 lbs) of plastic from the landfill — just from pill vials alone! 🌎✨

That’s about the weight of a bowling ball 🎳 or 12 plastic water bottles 💧— all now part of a circular, sustainable future for the veterinary industry.

Every vial counts. Every partner matters.
Thank you for being part of the solution. 🐾💙

If your clinic is interested in becoming a network partner, please reach out at www.loveouroceansproject.com

*Estimated using an average weight of 8g per 50 dram plastic pill vial, including lid.

Since joining the LOOP Network, has done an incredible job working with their clients to promote plastic recycling in their hospital. 110 pill vials since May! Without the help of the amazing team members who collect and log the pill vial data, and clients bringing their pet’s pill vials back to the clinic, this sustainability movement wouldn’t exist. A huge thank you to everyone involved!

🌍✨ Exciting News for Our Planet and Pets! ✨🌍

We are thrilled to announce the official launch of our new website, a pioneering platform dedicated to revolutionizing the veterinary industry through the reduction of plastic waste. Our mission is clear: to make waves of change that benefit not only our beloved pets but also the environment we all share.

🐾 Why It Matters 🐾

The veterinary industry, like many others, has long relied on plastic for its convenience and hygiene. However, the environmental cost of this dependence is becoming increasingly clear. From single-use syringes to plastic-packaged medications, the amount of non-recyclable waste generated is staggering. Our goal is to challenge the status quo, promoting and implementing sustainable practices that can significantly reduce this footprint.

🌱 What We Offer 🌱

Our website serves as a hub for information, resources, and community engagement. Here's what you can expect:

- Collaboration Opportunities:
Join the LOOP Network; a directory for pet owners to find like-minded veterinary clinics passionate about making a difference in their area.

- Innovative Solutions:
One of our flagship initiatives is the Pill Vial Recycling Program, designed to tackle the often-overlooked issue of plastic waste from pill vials. Every year, countless plastic vials are disposed of after just a single use, contributing significantly to environmental pollution. Our program offers a simple, effective way for veterinary practices and pet owners to participate in recycling these vials, turning what was once a 'one-and-done' product, into a continual valuable resource. This not only helps reduce the footprint of our industry, but also sets a precedent for sustainable practices that others can follow.

- Sustainability Tips:
Learn practical steps that clinics and pet owners alike can take to minimize waste.

- Community Stories:
Be inspired by success stories from practices that have successfully reduced their plastic usage.

🌊 Making Waves Together 🌊

We believe that small changes can lead to big impacts. By visiting our website and joining our cause, you're not just supporting a movement; you're becoming a vital part of a community dedicated to protecting the planet for future generations.

👉 Visit us, get involved, and let's make a sustainable future a reality for the veterinary industry and beyond.
